About The Connecticut Project
The Connecticut Project (TCP) is a social change organization that
leverages strategies and tools to align around, invest in, and
advocate for real-world outcomes and systems change for people
across Connecticut working to survive and thrive. We work for a
just, thriving, and optimistic Connecticut where race, gender,
income, geography, and other circumstances no longer predetermine
opportunity.
Position Overview
Field Organizers are core staff to TCP's field outreach strategy
who report to the Manager of Mobilization and Field Strategy and
work within a team of organizers who are each responsible for the
implementation of TCP's field plan in a specific region or
municipality. Organizers are responsible for managing their
regional outreach (canvassing three days a week), recruitment, and
training, by leveraging a mix of direct and peer-to-peer tactics
and tools. Organizers will also assist in leader and supporter
development, and also assemble and lead local canvassing teams for
direct neighbor engagement and input. Additionally, organizers will
serve as key contributors on campaign and cross-functional teams to
ensure TCP strategies,
communications, and policy solutions are rooted in the interests of
lower-income and asset-limited households.
The Field Organizer will work under the supervision of the Manager
of Mobilization and Field Strategy and in close collaboration with
a team of organizers, as well as TCP staff, coalition partners, and
community members. The Organizer will work on behalf of both The

Connecticut Project Action Fund, an affiliated 501c4 of TCP. This
is a full-time, salaried position.
