Surgical Technologist, Lexington/Needham OR at Boston Children's Hospital summary:
The Surgical Technologist will assist the surgical team by providing sterile instruments and maintaining a sterile environment during surgeries. Responsibilities include organizing surgical supplies, assisting nurses, and participating in a team-oriented peri-operative setting. Candidates must be certified and preferably have pediatric experience, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified individuals.
The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for:

• Providing sterile instruments to surgical team during surgery.
• Organizing and arranging sterile instruments and supplies.
• Collecting and removing contaminated items at completion of cases.
• Assisting circulating nurses in maintaining adequate stock of sterile supplies.
• Working collaboratively in a family-centered peri-operative environment.To qualify, you must have:
  • A certificate from a Surgical Tech program
  • 1 year of OR experience as a Surgical Tech.
  • Must be certified as a Surgical Tech.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.**Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for full-time, 40 hour per week hires with over 1 year of direct OR experience as a Surgical Tech (who have not worked here in the past 2 years). **
    
    **This position will start in BCH Lexington and transition to BCH Needham upon completion of the ambulatory care building (anticipated to open late 2025).**
