Overview: We are seeking a skilled Crane & Heavy Equipment Service
Technician to join our team at Wood’s CRW Corp. in North Oxford,
MA. As a key member of our product support team, you will be
responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting,
and repairs on a variety of cranes, telehandlers, and heavy
construction equipment. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and
maintain cranes, telehandlers, and other heavy equipment. Perform
routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of
mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Read and interpret
technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software. Work both
in the field and in-shop environments, responding to service calls
as needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company
procedures. Provide excellent customer service and communicate
effectively with team members and clients. Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Minimum two years' experience in
maintenance and repair of cranes or heavy construction equipment.
Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical
systems. Ability to read technical manuals and learn new procedures
quickly. Experience with diagnostic tools and software for
troubleshooting equipment issues. Valid driver’s license & MA
Hoisting License required; CDL preferred Strong problem-solving
skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Skills & Competencies: Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of
hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems in cranes and heavy
equipment. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting – Ability to identify and
resolve equipment issues using diagnostic tools and software.
Equipment Operation – Familiarity with operating cranes,
telehandlers, and other heavy machinery for testing and
troubleshooting. Reading Schematics & Manuals – Proficiency in
interpreting technical documents, schematics, and service manuals.
Safety & Compliance – Understanding of OSHA regulations and safety
procedures for working with heavy equipment. Communication &
Customer Service – Ability to clearly communicate findings,
repairs, and recommendations to customers and team members. Time
Management & Organization – Ability to prioritize tasks and work
efficiently in both field and shop settings. Computer & Technology
Skills – Experience using diagnostic software, service reporting
